The room was spacious and clean, decorated beautifully. The breakfast in the lovely dining room was a treat, and the friendly staff made my mornings extra special. It's located in the old town.

All was perfect.

Liked the location inside city walls.
Didn't like our room location. On the street and we heard cars rolling on cobbled street a lot of the night! Quite noisy!

Location inside the city walls allowing excellent opportunities to explore on foot and sample the local services.
Difficult to raise a smile, but that's typical of hotel staff in main land Spain.

Nicely furnished room with a view into a patio area. Magnificent and incredible location in Avila, so close to the cafeteria & housekeeping, the garden as snacks, and the cafe and lounge. Great to have an outdoor restaurant with very friendly and efficient staff.

One can not think of a better place when planning to go to Avila. The Parador is located right into the City Walls, parking is a breeze if you are driving and it has classical "paradores quality". Don't even bother looking for a cheaper hotel, this place is the best value for your money. Rooms have lots of space, plus all modern amenities. A must!

The location and the ambience.
They did not accept American Express Traveller Cheques (!!!). Had we not had cash and Credit Cards we would have been in trouble.

Perfectly placed, tucked against the old city walls and easy to access. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms and with excellent public spaces. Restaurant was very pleasant indeed with an excellent menu - though the portions were too large! Quiet hotel with the usual Parador touch of luxury.
The usual complaint about Spanish restaurant hours. Surely the hotel industry should be awake to the eating habits of almost everyone else in the world?

The location offers seamless access to historic attractions, and the terrace provides a lovely evening ambiance. Dining was enjoyable, with traditional meals that were both good and reasonably priced. The reception staff was often unhelpful and lacked warmth . While the room was comfortable, it lacked charm and was not in the historic part of the hotel.

Accommodating, efficient, professional staff at the front desk. Clean, quite room, comfortable beds. Loved the shower/bathroom, great water pressue/hot water;nothing exotic but everything was there. Great location. Breakfast buffet was good; well balanced food selection. Easy walking into the main city square. If coming into the city by train, short taxi ride to the hotel, for the fitter travellers, could walk to the hotel.
I was not impressed with an evening dinner that we had at the hotel. My entre, I beieve it was suckling roast pig was extremely dry, my brothers dish, some sort of a steak, had good flavour but was as tough as a boot, and impossible to chew. The veal was good as was a vegetarian chili/atrichoke dish my daughter had. Other family members had some sort of ravioli dish that was was also pretty good.
